[THROWBACK] Business Mission - Focus on Ba Ria Vung Tau
On November 9th, the CCIFV in partnership with Phu My 3 SIP and GEMALINK, took a delegation of about twenty companies to the province of Ba Ria Vung Tau, in the presence of Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice-President of the People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Anh Triet, Director of BIZA (Ba Ria Industrial Zone Authorities), Mr. Luong Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, Mr. Philippe Fouet, Head of the Economic Service of the French Embassy and Mr. Adam Koulaksezian, Director of the CCIFV.
On the program, site visits as well as a sequence of exchanges with the local authorities:
- Visit of the petrochemical site of Long Son, a key project in the sector in Vietnam (5.4 billion USD of investment); this visit was carried out in the presence of Mr. Tharna Sanee, General Manager and Mr. Chansak Chirawatpongsa, Financial Director;
- Visit to Phu My 3 SIP industrial park, including the modern Iguacu coffee production plant (Marubeni);
- Visit of the Gemalink port, the largest deep water port in Cai Mep - Thi Vai, in the presence of Mr. Benoit Klein, its General Manager.
The province has the ambition to become a regional economic center, thanks to its strategic position, while asserting its alignment with the national objective of carbon neutrality in 2050, which represents numerous investment and partnership opportunities for French and European companies.
This day of visits and exchanges ended with a networking cocktail hosted by our partner Gemalink.
