Throwback to the France Pavilion at VRT&CON 2026: French Expertise at the Heart of Vietnam’s Railway Ambitions

Three days to connect expertise, showcase French solutions and accelerate railway cooperation.

From 8 to 10 October 2026, the CCIFV brought together eight French companies at the France Pavilion at VRT&CON 2026, an exhibition dedicated to the development and modernisation of Vietnam’s railway sector.

SNCF Group, Artelia, Pandrol, Pontech, Saint-Gobain, SYSTRA, Wiremind and Condat showcased their diverse expertise, spanning engineering, infrastructure, equipment, railway systems, maintenance and training. Together, they highlighted the breadth of French expertise in support of Vietnam’s railway ambitions.

Three Days of Meetings and Opportunities

The France Pavilion programme featured several key highlights:

  • The official inauguration of the France Pavilion, attended by H.E. Didier Le Bret, Ambassador of France to Vietnam; Christophe Cougnaud, Vice-President of the CCIFV; Julien Seillan, Director of AFD Vietnam; and representatives of French and Vietnamese institutions, demonstrating France’s commitment to the development of Vietnam’s railway sector.
  • An institutional meeting with the Vietnam Railway Authority (VNRA), providing an opportunity to exchange views on the challenges and prospects for railway development in Vietnam.
  • A visit to Hanoi’s metro system, offering insights into operational railway infrastructure and the challenges of urban rail transport.
  • More than 50 B2B meetings at the pavilion, involving 40 participating companies, facilitating targeted introductions, the identification of potential partners and the development of new business opportunities.
  • A networking cocktail, bringing together exhibitors, partners and industry professionals to continue discussions and strengthen connections.
  • Technical conferences and presentations, showcasing French expertise and solutions in engineering, infrastructure, asset management, railway technologies and training.

From Dialogue to Projects, from Meetings to Partnerships

More than just a showcase, the France Pavilion served as a bridge between French and Vietnamese railway stakeholders, fostering dialogue, facilitating connections and opening up new business opportunities.

The objective is clear: to turn today's connections into tomorrow's concrete collaborations, contributing to a more modern, efficient and sustainable railway network in Vietnam.

Through this initiative, the CCIFV reaffirms its role as a facilitator between businesses and institutions in both countries: connecting the right stakeholders, accelerating cooperation and supporting French companies in developing their presence in the Vietnamese market.

The France Pavilion brought French and Vietnamese railway stakeholders together around a shared goal: unlocking new opportunities for cooperation and contributing to the development of Vietnam’s railway sector.
