Throwback to our Breakfast Talk | Vietnam's Tech Evolution: From Service Provider to Strategic Partner

On 9 July, NTQ Solution's Head Office in Hanoi became a hub for insightful discussions, as business leaders, technology professionals, and members of the CCIFV community gathered for a Breakfast Talk on Vietnam's rapidly evolving role in the global technology landscape.

The discussion featured complementary perspectives from Ms. Kimmi Nguyen, Regional Director of NTQ Europe, and Mr. René Cordier, Technical Lead – Backend & Delivery at Linagora Vietnam, who shared valuable insights on the future of Vietnam's digital economy and international technology collaborations.

One message stood out throughout the morning: Vietnam is no longer competing on cost - it is competing on capability.

With Vietnam's digital technology industry projected to reach USD 300 billion by 2030, the country is rapidly positioning itself as a strategic partner for global businesses. Beyond engineering excellence, Vietnam offers the expertise, innovation mindset, and collaborative approach needed to co-create long-term value.

  • From NTQ Europe's perspective, this evolution is driven by a maturing technology ecosystem, a highly skilled and fast-growing IT talent pool, and an increasing ability to solve complex business challenges rather than simply execute technical tasks. These strengths are reshaping collaboration models—from joint R&D and co-innovation to strategic co-investment and cross-border talent and knowledge exchange.
  • Complementing this perspective, Linagora emphasized another defining trend: the growing importance of digital sovereignty, open technologies, and trusted partnerships. As organizations seek greater resilience and control over their digital ecosystems, success will increasingly depend on collaboration built on transparency, trust, and shared innovation.

The conversation concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where participants explored topics ranging from AI and digital transformation to demographic trends and the future of Vietnam's technology ecosystem—highlighting the growing momentum for deeper Europe–Vietnam technology collaboration.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such insightful discussions. We look forward to continuing the conversation and building partnerships that shape the next chapter of innovation together.
