Throwback SIAL SHANGHAI 2026

On May 18, 2026, the SIAL Shanghai 2026 Exhibition officially opened in Shanghai, China.

On May 18, 2026, SIAL Shanghai 2026 officially opened its doors in Shanghai, China. The opening ceremony brought together representatives from the trade and agriculture sectors of several countries, as well as international associations from the food and beverage industry. Members of the Consular Corps in Shanghai also attended this major international event.

During the inauguration of the Vietnam Pavilion, Consul General Trần Huy Hùng highlighted the strength of bilateral trade relations between Vietnam and China.

He recalled that trade between the two countries has now reached between USD 256 and 290 billion, with a significant share driven by agricultural and food products. This sector plays a vital role in Vietnam’s economy, supporting the livelihoods of millions of farmers and contributing actively to business growth. The Consul General expressed his hope that the exhibition would help showcase high-quality Vietnamese products directly to international consumers. He also extended his gratitude to CCI France Vietnam - CCIFV and the SIAL Organization for their support of Vietnamese exhibitors participating in the event.

Held from May 18 to 20, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), the exhibition is co-organized by Comexposium Group and the China Commerce Association.

As one of the world’s leading food industry exhibitions, SIAL 2026 brings together more than 5,000 exhibitors from over 75 countries and welcomes nearly 180,000 professionals. This year, Vietnamese companies are proudly showcasing a wide range of flagship products, including agricultural goods, processed foods, beverages, rice, nuts, and dried fruits.

Beyond Shanghai, the prestigious SIAL network extends across several major cities around the world. Notably, SIAL Ho Chi Minh City will take place from November 11 to 14, 2026, offering another valuable opportunity to highlight Vietnam’s excellence in the food and beverage sector.
