Learn how to communicate clearly under pressure, reduce misunderstandings and strengthen alignment within your teams.

CCIFV Office, Ho Chi Minh City
Thursday, 29 October 2026
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Overview

This is a hands-on session built around gameplay. Participants work through simulations together, in small teams, towards a common goal. The simulations test the way you communicate with others, and that includes listening as much as speaking.

It is a fun and engaging session, filled with learning, laughter, and honest discussion.

After each game we sit down and unpack what happened. This is where the learning lives, in the conversation after the gameplay. Those conversations are open and often surprising, and everyone has the chance to contribute their own perspective.

The shared experience matters just as much. When people work through a problem side by side and see how differently each person approaches it, they come away understanding each other better. Empathy builds quickly when people feel understood rather than judged, and teams tend to leave closer than they arrived.

You will go back to work with a simple method for communicating effectively, and an experience you may well want to share with your team.

Breakfast and coffee from 9am. Small groups are formed on the day, so come on your own or bring colleagues.

What will you learn?

  • Identify your own communication habits and their impact on others
  • Recognise assumptions that can lead to misunderstandings
  • Understand whether your message has actually been understood
  • Build and confirm alignment within your team
  • Apply practical communication techniques immediately at work
  • Identify communication breakdowns within your own organisation

About the speaker

Mark Dickens

Founder & Lead Facilitator, The Performance Lens

Mark is a serial entrepreneur with experience working alongside enterprise level organizations across finance and technology. He began his career as a Class A Golf Professional with the PGA of Canada, where practice, routine and preparation are the fundamental drivers of performance. He then moved into retail banking and wealth management before co-founding Vambora, an open banking fintech, where he led strategy, fundraising and partnerships.

The contrast stayed with him. In sport, performance is prepared for deliberately and reviewed honestly. In most organizations, the human skills that determine how people communicate, decide and work together are left to develop by accident. He founded The Performance Lens to close that gap, working with individuals and teams to assess and develop performance across their organizations.
