La Petite Ecole Ho Chi Minh City recently hosted the first edition of “Les Petits Cinéastes d’Asie” School Film Festival.
La Petite Ecole Ho Chi Minh City La Petite Ecole Ho Chi Minh City recently hosted the first edition of “Les Petits Cinéastes d’Asie” School Film Festival, a unique event bringing together the La Petite Ecole schools in Asia (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Bangkok and Singapore) within the Odyssey Education Group.
This initiative is part of the international “Les Petits Cinéastes du Monde” project, which encourages students to explore the language of cinema while developing their creativity, self-expression and global awareness.
Throughout the school year, students from Early Years to Grade 5 took part in the creation of short films, from scriptwriting and storytelling to final production. The festival celebrated the culmination of this collective work by showcasing the creations of these young filmmakers.
Beyond its artistic dimension, the project perfectly illustrates La Petite Ecole’s educational approach. By engaging students in a meaningful, hands-on project, it promotes experiential learning, collaboration and autonomy. It also serves as a powerful tool for developing bilingual skills, as students are encouraged to communicate, create and present their projects in a French–English environment that lies at the heart of the school’s educational model.
