A day dedicated to strengthening economic ties between France and Vietnam
This Monday, May 26, in Hanoi, the CCIFV had the honor of taking part in two key events focused on strengthening economic relations between France and Vietnam, held on the occasion of the official visit to Vietnam by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron.
Roundtable at the French Embassy
The day began with a roundtable at the French Embassy, bringing together key stakeholders of France’s economic presence in Vietnam: the Economic Department, Business France, the presidents of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE) and the CCIFV, along with several member companies including Artelia, EDF, and Keyrus.
Discussions focused on major current challenges facing the Vietnamese economy, including:
Evolution of the growth model
Infrastructure development
Green transition
Innovation and digitalization
Several members of the CCIFV Board and member companies shared insights from the field, highlighting their challenges and ambitions for the years ahead.
Vietnam–France Leaders Forum
Later in the morning, the very first Vietnam–France Leaders Forum was held, with the active support of the CCIFV. This event brought together nearly 50 representatives of French and Vietnamese companies from strategic sectors such as aerospace, banking, energy, retail, healthcare, education, and more.
The objective? To foster economic collaboration and promote long-term partnerships between companies from both countries, within the framework of their enhanced strategic partnership.
For over 30 years, the CCIFV has been committed to supporting French businesses in Vietnam. We are proud to have contributed to the organization of these two major events and remain at the service of our members to support their development projects, facilitate institutional dialogue, and encourage the establishment of French players in the Vietnamese market.
