On the morning of August 24, 2022, at the Saigon Prince Hotel, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Vietnam (CCIFV) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Ho Chi Minh City branch (VCCI-HCMC) held a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between the two parties.

On CCIFV's side, there was Mr. Adam Koulaksezian – Executive Director and Ms. Nguyen Nhu Minh Hanh - Head of Business Support France - Vietnam Department and other representatives of the Chamber.

On the VCCI – HCMC’s side, there was Mr. Tran Ngoc Liem – General Director and Nguyen Van Tuan – Director of International Relations Department and other representatives of the Chamber.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Adam Koulaksezian shared the potentials of trade cooperation between France and Vietnam. According to him, the European Union ( EU) could be looked at as a huge potential market, but not every country in the EU has the same needs and opportunities. Therefore, it is necessary to understand each market’s demands in each country differently as well as their specific business culture to gain a wider and deeper access. Operated in Vietnam since 1989, CCIFV is the bridge leading French businesses in particular as well as European ones thanks to the global network, to Vietnam. CCIFV believes that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will be the foundation and motivation for CCIFV and VCCI - HCMC to cooperate closely, opening up opportunities fostering bilateral trade exchanges and mobilize the best resources for Vietnamese and French businesses. The Chamber also strongly supports Vietnamese companies in their exports project.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between CCIFV and VCCI - HCMC has taken place successfully, promising a well-developed cooperative relationship between the two Chambers.
