Saint-Gobain marks 360 years globally, celebrates sustainable growth in Vietnam
On July 2, 2025, Saint-Gobain marked its 360th global anniversary with a distinguished celebration in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme “360 Years young – To build the next miracle.” The event not only commemorated the Group’s enduring legacy and global leadership in sustainable construction, but also celebrated its long-standing presence in Vietnam by honoring key milestones from its leading brands: Vĩnh Tường, with 35 years of pioneering ceiling and drywall solutions; DURAflex, with 15 years of driving innovation in durable, low-carbon cement boards; and Weber, with 15 years of setting new benchmarks in tile fixing, grouting, and waterproofing systems.
The event was honored to welcome H.E. Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of France to Vietnam, representatives of the French Embassy, Mr. Ludovic Weber, CEO of Saint-Gobain Asia-Pacific, along with senior executives from Saint-Gobain globally and in Vietnam. It also brought together representatives from key industry associations including SACA, HGBA, and the Vietnam Interiors Association, as well as nearly 300 strategic partners and customers nationwide.
In his remarks, Ambassador Brochet emphasized Saint-Gobain’s role in advancing the green transition in Vietnam’s construction sector. Ludovic Weber, CEO of Saint-Gobain Asia Pacific, reaffirmed the Group’s long-term commitment to investment and innovation in the Vietnamese market.
The event served as a tribute to the enduring partnerships that have shaped Saint-Gobain’s success in Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Truong Hai, CEO of Saint-Gobain Vietnam, expressed heartfelt gratitude to partners and customers, with special recognition given to “diamond partners” who have collaborated with the Group for over the decades.
As Saint-Gobain continues its journey toward Net Zero by 2050, the celebration reaffirmed its mission of “Making the World a Better Home” offering innovative, high-performance, and sustainable building solutions that shape the future of construction in Vietnam and beyond.
