[THROWBACK] Round Table: EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement: challenges and opportunities for French companies?

On Wednesday, February 15, it was with great pleasure that CCIFV welcomed Mr. Edouard Philippe, former Prime Minister and Mayor of Le Havre, and organized a roundtable to discuss issues related to the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and to review the challenges and opportunities for French companies. The panel consisted of Edouard Philippe, Thibaut Giroux, President of the France-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jean-Jacques Bouflet, Vice President EuroCham, Stéphane Raison, Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board of HAROPA Port and Adam Koulaksezian, Executive Director.

During his visit to Vietnam, Mr. Edouard Philippe was accompanied by a delegation of companies from Le Havre. The city of Le Havre, which has one of the main ports in Europe and leading companies specialized in the maritime, logistics and port sectors, is developing its partnerships with Vietnam to strengthen bilateral exchanges, cooperation and cross-investments. It is noted that Mr. Edouard Philippe had visited Vietnam in November 2018 as Prime Minister.

H.E. Mr. Nicolas Warnery, Ambassador of France to Vietnam and Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Consul General of France also honored us with their presence during this much appreciated exchange, followed by a cocktail with the French business community.
