Pernod Ricard Vietnam Launch New Anti-counterfeit Tool

Ahead of the launch in mid-July, the team at Pernod Ricard Vietnam presented PUMA—which is a new authentication, anti-counterfeit and traceability application. This was presented to members of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, officers and the market control department.

 

PUMA Vietnam is an application-based software that uses QR code technology to allow consumers to verify the authenticity of imported spirits and receive instant information about these products. At present, PUMA is being applied on a number of Pernod Ricard products such as Chivas 12, Chivas 18, Chivas 18 Blue Signature and Royal Salute 21.

 

The meeting took place at the InterContinental Landmark in Hanoi and entailed a presentation and workshop with over 40 customs and market control officers.  Following the meeting, the customs and market control department expanded the scale of workshops by launching a training session in Hanoi with 30 officers, plus a number of future sessions scheduled in Ho Chi Minh in September.
