Michelin chef finished visit to Vietnam

Michelin-starred chef Jérôme Laurent has successfully completed his four-day visit to Le Corto restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City today.

Chef Laurent was invited by Aden Services, a leading provider of integrated facility management services, to display his culinary skills from March 14 to 18 at Le Corto restaurant in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Throughout the past four days, the French chef has showcased his talent in Western and Asian fusion dishes.

The diverse menu included a wide variety of high-quality meat, ranging from seafood such as crab, lobster, cod and turbot fish to poultry and red meat. The meat was accompanied by various fresh vegetables and fruits, while desserts included tarts, chocolate and ice cream.

As his visit came to an end, chef Laurent said he was delighted with his stay in Vietnam and that he was honoured to serve patrons at Le Corto restaurant.  

Chef Laurent was born in Southern France, in a family of six-generation hoteliers and restaurateurs. He started his career from working at various Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Monaco, all the way to living in and organising premium culinary events in North America, Russia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

After gaining significant global experience, the chef returned to France to open his own restaurant named Le Cilantro, where he was recognised as a Michelin-starred chef for eight consecutive years.

Throughout his career, chef Laurent has cooked for the Swedish royal family, former US Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as former US First Lady Hillary Clinton.  

Chef Laurent is also the chef instructor at the Shanghai campus of the renowned Le Cordon Bleu cooking academy. As corporate chef for Aden Services, chef Laurent is responsible for the firm’s culinary services, improving standards and creativity for food-related projects of Aden.
