Can you explain your activity in a few words?

Signify is the world lighting leader with recognized expertise in the development, manufacturing and sale of innovative, energy-efficient lighting products, systems, and services. Our purpose is to unlock the extraordinary potential of light for brighter lives and a better world.

For more than 125 years we have pioneered breakthroughs in lighting and been the driving force for many innovations. Our track record in innovation is strong and we invest heavily in R&D to stay at the forefront of technological developments.

We strive for continued innovation in LED lighting and we are leading the industry expansion to lighting systems in both the professional and consumer markets. Our position as the industry leader in connected lighting, makes Signify the lighting company for the Internet of Things (IoT). We make Nhat Tan bridge (Ha Noi) and Flag tower of Hue (Thua Thien Hue) as city identities. Bring to customers and visitors the satisfaction and surprised with dynamic lighting show at Novotel Da Nang. We also unlock the potential of solar energy for lighting sustainability through solar streetlight project in Binh Thuan province.

Have you already implemented a social or environmental project in your company? Or do you have a sustainable development policy?

We created the Signify Foundation. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged and underserved communities across the world by enabling access to light. By applying technology, expertise and resources, we provide access to light, raise awareness of the importance of energy efficiency in protecting our environment and support humanitarian interventions. 

We also have a sustainability program: it aligns with our purpose: Brighter lives, Better world.

How we create brighter lives? We provide light to population in off grid areas for greater well-being and safety, but also in workplace to improve employees work conditions.

How we create a better world? We reduce our environmental footprint by creating energy efficient, connected lighting, and energy circular lighting to save material resources.

What type of advice would you give to other companies in Vietnam to launch such CSR project?

Every business is different, it is necessary to understand the specific context and circumstances of the environment before establishing good business practice in a company.
