Bruce Delteil is a Partner at McKinsey & Company. He relocated to Hanoi in 2019 and was previously based out of the Jakarta office. He has been living and working in Southeast Asia for 24 years. He is working at the intersection of digital, strategy, and implementation, and he leads the Firm’s work on merger management in Southeast Asia. He has served leading corporations, local conglomerates, state-owned enterprises, and multinationals throughout Asia.

Bruce’s work is focused primarily on the Financial Services industry, with experience in serving clients across other sectors – including Oil & Gas, Automotive, and Telecommunications. He has extensive experience advising clients on topics related to strategic planning and growth, large-scale transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and organization design. In recent years, he has been focusing on innovation and digital. His work in this space ranges from developing thought leadership around digital asset acquisition to helping clients reinvent their business and operating models through digital services and capabilities.

Some recent examples of Bruce’s client work include helping an Asian conglomerate with a 12-month innovation program across its different businesses – including design thinking, new customer journeys, and the implementation of prototypes and innovation platforms; supporting the post-merger integration of a large Asian technology, media, and telecom organization; guiding a major Indonesian bank in a 18-month transformation effort that touched all business units and processes; and supporting a banking institution in Vietnam develop its digital ecosystem strategies.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Bruce served as a partner and managing director at Accenture Strategy.

Bruce holds an MBA from ESCP Europe in Paris and is currently taking doctoral studies in Finance and Analytics. He is fluent in English, French, and Indonesian.
