Sofitel Saigon Plaza is offering guests a new dining experience with the appointment of Michelin star Chef Fabien Mengus at L’Olivier restaurant. Connoisseurs can expect a new range of authentic French cuisine featuring dishes that presented in thoroughly modern and innovative ways. 

Indulge in a modern taste of French cuisine in either a 3-course lunch or a 5-course dinner featuring meticulously composed dishes such as lobster medallions; roasted pigeon breast on chest and thigh confit; pan-fried duck liver; and monkfish medallion confit with olive oil and thyme. Chef Mengus describes his mission at Saigon as introducing to Sofitel Saigon Plaza’s food lovers the art of French gastronomic they would not have experienced previously.

During the five-day event, Chef Mengus will showcase his amazing creation in a series of lunch and dinner, promised to bring guests to a sensory gastronomy journey. Moreover, a special cooking class led by Chef Mengus on 13 October is organized for participants looking to discover and experience the world of French gourmet cuisine in an exceptional way.

ABOUT TWO-STAR MICHELIN CHEF FABIEN MENGUS

Fabien Mengus started his career at “Boeuf Rouge” Restaurant in France. During his career, Chef Mengus worked in prestigious establishment such as Relais & Châteaux du Castelo Del Sol in Switzerland.

In 2001, Chef Mengus joined the team of the one star Michelin restaurant “Le Cygne” at Gundershoffen in France. The restaurant win a second star in 2005. In 2011, Chef Mengus and his wife, Laure, took over the restaurant and confirms the second star the following season, in March 2012.

In 2016, Fabien and Laure Mengus concretize the acquisition of the prestigious table of L'Arnsbourg in France and turn the concept of the 2 star Michelin Restaurant “Le Cygne” to a “Bistronomique” restaurant in order to focus on the  table of L'Arnsbourg. The Restaurant acquires his first Michelin Star in 2017.
